What is Made Up London
Made Up London is a blog containing entirely fictional passages about the history of London.
Taking its lead from signboards outside pubs in the capital, which often declare that, "there has been a tavern on this site since 450 BC" or "Queen Elizabeth I was reputed to have stayed in this pub on her return from Tilbury", it tries to set out surprising, alternative histories which sound, almost, as if they might be true.
As such, it's safe to assume that almost everything you read on this blog is false.
